Favourite racecourse – York
Most memorable moment – Having my first ride for my mum and dad on a horse called Bigbadboy finishing 2nd and riding my first winner at Nottingham on my second start, trained by my dad and owned by my mum and grandma.
Best things about working here – Getting to go racing with the horses you ride everyday, going to some top class meeting’s and we all have a good laugh riding out especially in the summer.
What got you into racing? My family – my Grandad trained horses, My mum and dad were both jockey’s so i got into pony racing and went from there.
Career ambition – To have a ride in the queen mother cup at York, especially as my grandad used to train on the knavesmire.
Likes – Shopping, holidays and going racing.
Dislikes – Spiders, rain and loud eaters.
Hobbies – Going to the gym
Favourite films/TV Show– Seabiscuit, coronation street and has to be country music!
What 3 items would you take with you on a desert island – My blanket, endless supply of Yorkshire tea and my phone.
What horse would you own and why? Makawee, because she is my all time favourite, she is gorgeous, well mannered, lovely temperament and comes with a heart of gold for free, not many like her!!
Superstitions – Salute a magpie, walking over 3 drains is bad luck.
What would you do if you weren’t working here? Learning SFX makeup or fashion design.
